In our Sky Science unit, we learned about the Reasons for the Seasons. Explain to a family member why the warmest temperatures on the planet occur at the equator while the coldest temperatures occur at the North and South Poles.

We have been analyzing the characters Julilly, Mammy Sally, Massa Hensen and Missy Hensen during our Underground to Canada Novel Study. Share your analysis with a family member.

1.  We had the privilege of observing a cotton picking bag that was used in and around the 1920's/1930's.  This bag was similar to the one that would have been used by some of the characters in Underground to Canada.
