It's Been a Terrific Tuesday!!!
This week we have the privilege of hosting Cst. Mark Enzie in our classrooms to discuss online safety. Cst. Enzie is our School Resource Officer. He spoke to Room 6 today and he will visit Room 5 on Thursday. Some of the points he covered was:
-phones should be left with parents at bedtime
-everything you put online is traceable and cannot be deleted
-do not share personal information
-be careful of the number of pictures that you post online
-do not post anything inappropriate (pictures, memes, etc.)
-texting- nothing can actually be deleted
-when using a chat room, you don't actually know who you are speaking to
-in chat rooms, everything is watched
-don't accept friend requests that you don't know personally
Above all, please be careful and be kind!!!!

This week we are continuing our learning about Sky Science. Please share with your parents about the topics we have been discussing and the activities that we have been doing.
We are also privileged to have Constable Mark Enzie visiting us this week in both Room 5 and Room 6. He will be discussing online safety with our students. Room 6 students heard his presentation today and Room 5 will have him in their classroom on Thursday.

Another week in the books!
Today we began building our Aliens using recycled materials. Our Aliens that we have created have special adaptations that allow them to survive on the planets we have been researching. Share with a family member your favourite part of constructing your Alien.
