We are at the end of another week and it's time to celebrate our learning.

-Talk to your parents about how you are doing with creating your own map in Social Studies, as well as how your persuasive writing is going so far.

-Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held today from 4:15-8:00 pm, as well as tomorrow from 8:00 am -12:30 pm.  Please have your parents contact your teacher or the school office to book a conference, if they haven't done so already.

Another Terrific Tuesday

In writing we are continuing to learn about the structure of persuasive writing.  It will be fun to create our own persuasive writing pieces.  One example of a picture book that demonstrates persuasive writing is The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt.

We hope that you all had a great weekend.

 It's Thursday!!!

In writing, we have been working on the importance of using figurative language.  Please give your parents an example of a simile, metaphor, personification and hyperbole.  Using these in our written work will certainly make it more interesting to read.


We are also continuing to work on recognizing various elements of maps (e.g. legends, compass rose, cardinal directions, latitude, longitude, etc.)
